New Products

We would like to introduce you to our brand new range of products that are now available from Kestrel:

Level Term Assurance
Typically used for standalone life cover or to protect an interest only loan (where the outstanding balance does not decrease).

The policy can be on a single or joint life basis and life cover only or including critical illness.
Level Term Assurance is a simple life assurance policy that has a sum assured that remains level for the duration of the policy.

It is guaranteed to pay out a tax free lump sum on death or diagnosis of a terminal illness or on diagnosis of one of the covered critical illnesses if this option is added.

Decreasing Term Assurance (Mortgage Protection)
Typically used to cover a repayment mortgage/loan.

The policy can be on a single or joint life basis and life cover only or including critical illness.

This plan will provide cover that decreases over the term of the policy.

It is guaranteed to pay out a tax free lump sum on death or diagnosis of a terminal illness or on diagnosis of one of the covered critical illnesses if this option is added. At the point a claim is made the outstanding mortgage/loan can be cleared.

Income Protection Permanent Health Insurance (PHI)
This policy replaces up to 60% of your salary if you are unable to work due to a long term illness that is not a critical illness.

The benefits are paid after an initial waiting period (Deferment period) which can be either 4, 8, 13, 26, 52 or 104 weeks long and are designed to start after any sick pay from an employer ceases.

Typically the term is set to end on your 65th birthday, or natural retirement date. The policy is called 'permanent' as the company providing the cover cannot cancel it regardless of how many claims are made.

The cover can be level in which case premiums remain the same throughout the life of the policy or can be reviewed to increase by the Retail Prices Index (maximum 12%) which should protect the benefits from the effects of inflation.

If the long term effects of any illness or disability mean the insured person is only able to take lower paid employment, a proportional benefit can be paid.

Private Medical Insurance (PMI) - for IOM/UK residents
Allows access to private medical treatment outside of the NHS.

Cover can be tailored to the clients' specific needs as there are many options that can be added depending on the clients' lifestyle and the conditions or illnesses which concern them the most.

Can be set up for an individual, couple or family or in a company group scheme.

No medical is needed, however, there are questions in relation to: age, sex, medical history, smoker status, current state of health and occupation.

Pre existing medical conditions may be covered if the client has had no re-occurrence in the last 7 years.

Some plans can offer cash back for hospital stays. A health cash plan lets you claim back up to 100% of what you spend on everyday treatments such as optical, dental and physiotherapy fees, up to the benefit limit chosen.
